Interview with Monique Latar

Monique Latar is an anesthesiologist and the Head of Department of Pain Management in a medical facility located in Dax (France). Since 2019 she has been studying the SCENAR therapy efficiency and describing the results of treatment of chronic myalgia in hands and collar areas.

Interview with Monique Latar

Q: Can you please tell us how you became a SCENAR therapist?

A: I discovered SCENAR for myself when I used its analogue to treat a ligament of an inflamed foot of one of my patients and received great, absolutely unforeseeable result.

Q: Is that what made you interested in this field of medicine?

A: I told one of my colleagues about the results. And she, in turn, told me about the genuine SCENAR device. I gave it a try and immediately witnessed the significant difference between a copy and the original device. I started to use SCENAR to treat my patients and soon I realized that I have to learn more about this small technological miracle. I and my colleagues went to participate in SCENAR conference in Vienna, and then to Berlin, where I learned from Russian specialists. After that Dr Kulizskiy twice came to our city of Biarritz and significantly widened our knowledge of SCENAR therapy.

Q: What was your first impression after using SCENAR?

A: Very positive. The things that I learned only made my belief and my enthusiasm about SCENAR stronger. This device is really useful both for patients and therapists. Today I already have about 5-6 years of SCENAR experience and use the device in almost all of my patients suffering from chronic pain. One of the nurses from my department became SCENAR

therapist too just by watching me and now it helps me to work with an even greater number of patients.

I’m an anesthesiologist, but I left the surgery room 15 years ago to deal with chronic pain patients. SCENAR is a priceless device – simple in use and with great potential. I still have a feeling that I’m not using 100% of its abilities.

Q: Can you tell about some of the most memorable patient cases?

A: I have a lot of stories of miraculous improvements after SCENAR. Among them are neuralgias of the trigeminal nerve that are usually untreatable, shoulder traumas that were gone after several minutes of treatment, and so on. When we treat chronic pains it usually takes more time, but we help our patients in almost all cases.

Q: Have you ever had patients who were sceptical about SCENAR? How do you work with them?

A: When I suggest SCENAR treatment to my patients I always briefly explain about the treatment mechanism. Yes, some of them were sceptical, but none of them refused to give it a try, and most were surprised with the immediate results.

Q: What do your colleagues think about your practice?

A: Some of them watched me and started to use SCENAR too, others come and ask me for treatment. I never refuse. Some are ignorant about it. I understand that because it is hard to reject all the drugs, the traditional treatment methods at once. I think the patients are in fact more ready for radical changes in the treatment type than the medical professionals.

Q: Do you perform clinical studies?

A: I wanted to do studies, but I’m the only Pain Management doctor in the whole department, plus I work part-time. I have a very busy schedule and little time for scientific research, which I regret. Major hospitals in the big cities that have a lot of doctors can do such studies, though, but it is hard for small clinics.
